Custom Doll - Basic Style

Are you interested in a custom doll? We especially love to make dolls for your favorite fandoms and original characters!

Dolls are typically 16-18” long, and are made of fleece fabric. Please let me know up front if you have particular notes on color, or special requests on detail, otherwise I will use my professional judgement. It is not possible to change the flesh tone of a doll once it is made. Some elements of the “real life” design will inevitably have to be simplified.

PLEASE; when in doubt, check in with me about feasibility before placing an order. For instance: if the character is from a videogame, animated, or RPG, contact me before placing the order, as their designs are often quite complicated and may require an adjusted price. The same goes for heavily armored characters. These factors and others, such as non-human anatomy may require an Add On listing to cover extra labor and materials. As a rule, I do not make guns/swords/weapons. Please do not ask me to duplicate designs by other plush makers.

All orders are first come first serve, as The Stitchy Button always runs a bit of a waiting list. This may mean a six week turn around when the shop is busiest. Feel free to contact me about a make-date estimate on your custom order.

FAQ:
-Do you send progress pictures?
While I wish I could document every unique doll in that way, I simply do not have the time to stop and take pictures of my process and send them out. It slows down productivity, and effectively adds labor. Check out my instagram if you’d like a peek behind the scenes, @stitchybutton

-What if I want a creature you don’t already make?
Start by sending me a picture, so I can wrap my head around the idea, and let you know about the possibilities. If a character has a design or shape to it that I don’t have a close existing pattern for, it will require prototyping. This means extra work and materials. To pay myself accordingly, the way I price items such an item is generally 175% of what it would be as an inventory item.

-Do you make life sized dolls?
My workshop is pretty small! I don’t have the space to make something with those sorts of dimensions.

-Can you make a doll with removable clothes?
My dolls are made to be permanently clothed. If you would like a dressable doll, we will have to discuss it up front. The trouble with doing removable doll clothes is it adds considerable thickness and inflexibility, due to the small scale of the doll. It also adds to wear and tear on a hand made item, muscling those layers past each other. It’s not impossible, but I strongly advise against it on the Dainty Size of doll. While I may agree to make NSFW dolls, please don’t send me NSFW reference images without asking first.

-These are so expensive. When are you having a sale?
I don’t run many sales because I value my labor, and my living expenses don’t lessen in observance of corporate holidays.
