This piece depicts a close up of an open mouth. Inside the mouth you can see teeth, the tongue, flowers, and alphabet soup. The symbolism behind the flowers focuses on silence or withheld words while the letters in the soup both represent the words unsaid as well as leave a message. The words “no”, “save” and “me” can be more clearly discovered amongst the letters. The concept of this piece was intended to convey the feeling of not being able to speak, say things you need to, ask for help, or feeling like you have to “swallow your words”.
