What is the Simple Waist Corset Peplos?

The simple waist corset Peplos is made from a single layer of 8oz leather, featuring a straightforward dye process. Available dye options include solid colors, bordered colors, sponge patterns, and distressed finishes. Tooling and carving are not part of the simple version, but basic shapes without line work are allowed. For any custom carvings or tooling, customers should reach out to The Whimsy Goblin.

The corset is secured with a lacing system, requiring measurements for both the waist and under bust to ensure proper fit. If customers prefer a different closure method or wish to modify the standard shape, they need to contact The Whimsy Goblin for custom orders.

The leather Mantel piece is designed similarly to a waist corset, maintaining a fixed shape and available in the same colors and dye patterns as the corset. For custom colors or patterns, customers can reach out to The Whimsy Goblin. Made from 4oz leather, the Mantel requires only one measurement: the width of the shoulders. It features four securement points that utilize a skirt hiker's method, allowing for easy draping and the option to change fabrics as desired.

The leather choker shape cannot be altered, and dye colors and pattern follow the waist corset. Chokers are secured with a clasp in the back. One measurement is needed, the circumference of your neck. Made with 4oz leather.

There are pictures of the fabric options available from The Whimsy Goblin, featuring 40 color choices with Polyester Charmeuse Satin as the default material. Customers can request different fabric types through custom orders. Fabric is ordered as needed, and if an item is out of stock, The Whimsy Goblin will promptly reach out to discuss alternatives. No measurements are required for the fabric, but it's important to note that it isn't pre-sewn, so a tight belt is necessary to keep it in place if used as a dress. Additionally, customers can request snaps for added security at no extra cost when placing their order.

Brooches are discussed per order and can be many different styles.

1 inch satin ribbon in the same color or as close to as the fabric ordered will be included. If you would like a different color then the fabric ordered, please let The Whimsy Goblin know when ordering.


What are the differences between the Dye Patterns?

The fifth photo shows examples of the different dye patterns below is a breakdown of the differences.

1. Solid Color: Color used Canyon Brown. Solid colored option has a border around all leather pieces to give it depth. Usually only one color is used, however you can choose to use different colors for different parts.
   
2. Bordered Color: Colors used Canyon Brown and Midnight Black. Two colors are often all that is used. When ordering this please let The Whimsy Goblin know what color you want in the inside and what color is the border color.
   
3. Sponge Color: Colors used are Sunshine Yellow, Scarlet, Violet and Midnight Black. Looks good with just two colors or all four. Sponge color is often a gradient and placed in an abstract way. The colors often blend into each other from lightest to darkest.
   
4. Distressed Color: Colors used are Sunshine Yellow, Scarlet, Canyon Brown and Midnight Black. can be used with just two colors or up to four. Distress color is the lightest color in the middle and then the other colors are placed around the edge and splats of the darker dye/paint are added in random spots. These colors do not gradient into each other and have a splotchy look.
