Raw Silk Scrunchies

Protect your precious tresses with botanically dyed raw silk scrunchies! Made from sustainably farmed raw silk, a nubbly type of silk made from silk worm cocoons after the moths have left, and dyed with an array of pigment bearing plants. Scrunchies vary in width of fabric, but all have an elastic 7.5” in circumference.


Colors and what plants they were dyed with:

Brown: Black Walnut

Charcoal: Rose leaves and iron

Sepia: Rose leaves and iron

Lavender: Poppy petals

Pink: Madder

Red: Madder

Orange: Yellow Onion skin

Dark Yellow: Yellow Onion skin

Light Yellow: Marigold flowers

Green: Marigold flowers with an Indigo dip

Teal: fresh, home grown Indigo

Blue and White: Indigo vat

Care Instructions:

All botanical dyes will fade faster than chemical dyes and silk can be a delicate fiber. For the most longevity, wash sparingly by hand in cold water with a gentle pH neutral soap and air dry.
