Cord-cuttings are done when you want to release yourself of the energetic ties you have with another person, place, job, or even a mindset that you have of yourself. You can cut ties with anything that has an energetic signature. Doing this ritual helps a person process and release any emotions/feelings that are related to the person/energy you are cutting connections with. Often times, during the ritual there will be intuitive messages that can be seen and felt as the candles burn and the ritual progresses. Keep in mind that not all cord-cuttings will be successful. Depending on the energy of yourself and the other person, one or both people may not be ready to cut the connection. Multiple cord-cuttings may be required depending on how complicated your relationship to the other person/energy is. However, if the ritual is successful, the people and energies involved in the cord-cutting will be freed from the energetic ties and can peacefully move on and heal from the connection.
