Fractal wood burning is the process through which electricity is used to create free-form designs that are burned into the wood as the electricity passes through it. Once the piece is done, the parts that were burned are cleaned out, and a resin inlay is applied. Then the whole piece is sanded to a uniform finish. All wall decor is treated with teak oil, and is therefore water resistant. This means that the piece is good for indoor or outdoor decoration. This piece is made out of African Wenge, which is a wood native to Central Africa that has a gorgeous dark brown almost black coloring, and an almost iridescent sheen in the wood grain.
