The red resin kyber crystal is central to the complex chainmail designs. The metal was antiqued in a safe chemical bath to give the authentic worn feel that is so essential to the Star Wars universe's esthetic.

This one is a bit on the weighty side so I still need to add a chain to the back once I get a stronger one, but I expect the length to be about 26 inches end to end. (edited to add, I did add another chain, but forgot to measure, though I expect that was correct)
