Once the piece is done, the parts that were burned are cleaned out, and a resin inlay is applied. Then the whole piece is sanded to a uniform finish. All wall decor is treated with teak oil, and is therefore water resistant. This means that the piece is good for indoor or outdoor decoration. This piece is made out of Black Limba (Terminalia superba), a tree native to tropical Western Africa. In the sunlight, the wood grain has an almost holographic quality to it, which makes it the perfect addition to any sunroom or porch. Message shop owner with questions.
