0 savesBats are mammals whose forelimbs form webbed wings, making them the only mammals naturally capable of true and sustained flight. They are closely associated with vampires, though most bats are frugivores, meaning they eat only fruits and berries. The bat was also considered a symbol of intuition, dreaming and vision. This made them a powerful symbol for Native American shamans and medicine people. Often the spirit of the bat would be invoked when special energy was needed, like "night-sight" which is the ability to see through illusion or ambiguity and dive straight to the truth of matters.
