Details
Type
The type of product. This can be a physical product, a digital product, or a service. Read more about the different types of products here: "Understanding Product Types".
Category
Select the category that fits best for the dropdown. If you can't find a category that fits, select "Other".
Extended Description
You have more room to describe the product here; a couple of paragraphs. This is displayed on the product detail page.
Allowed Customer Messages (Custom Products Only)
If you're selling custom products, you can allow customers to send you messages with their customizations. Select the number of messages they're allowed to send.
Ordering Instructions
Last minute instructions for the buyer. This is displayed directly above the checkout form. Use it to briefly explain your sizing ("Large fits most men, Small fits most women"), or any other important information.
Age Restriction
If the product is only for people above a certain age, select the age group here. Note that you cannot sell adult content, alcohol, or tobacco products on the platform.
Media
This section allows you to upload additional images or videos with associated short captions. Show different angles of your product, short teaser or usage videos, or anything else that helps the buyer understand the product better.
Stock / Variants
This section currently works only for physical goods. Stock and variants are two separate things, but both managed from this page.
Stock
By default, when you create a product, it has unlimited stock. Meaning, if 1,000 people order overnight, you'll have to fulfill all those orders. By enabling stock tracking, you can limit the number of products available. When the stock reaches 0, the product will marked as 'Sold Out'.
To enable stock tracking, click the 'Track Stock' button. Then, a form will appear where you can enter the number of products available.
Variants
Variants are different versions of the same product, for example, different Sizes, Colors, Materials, or Styles. If you sell a fidget ring, you may have different color options and different size options. You may specify these here.
If you add two different types of variants, the buyer will have to select both. For example, if you have a ring with color and size variants, the buyer will have to select both a color and a size.
Sometimes, you may need to combine variants into one. For example, you may not have all "Colors" in all "Materials". In this case, use the "Style" variant type to specify both the color and material.
Stock for Variants
If you have variants, you track the stock for each of those variants separately. When that variant stock reaches 0, the variant will be marked as 'Sold Out' in the variant dropdown (meaning, the shopper can't select that size/color/material/style).
Variants and Orders
Make sure to check the "Messages" in your order, because that's where the variant information will be displayed.
