Shipping Guide
We try to keep things simple here, and most sellers don't need to offer standard vs express shipping options to their customers, so we ask that you include shipping costs in the product price.
How much to charge for shipping
We recommend basing your rates around USPS's Flat Rate shipping.
Here are some simple guidelines for most products:
- If your product fits in a stampable envelope, charge $2-3 for shipping depending on weight. (These must be flexible and not thicker than 1/8 inch.)
- If your product fits in a box that is 8x6x1.75 inches or smaller, charge $11 for shipping. (This is the size of a small flat rate box.)
- If your product is larger than that but smaller than 14x12x3.5 inches, charge $19 for shipping. (This is the size of a medium flat rate box.)
- If your product is larger than that, charge $26 for shipping. (This is the size of a large flat rate box.)
Using Product Variants for Shipping Pricing
In the Stock/Variants tool of the product listing editor, you can set different prices for different variants of your product (e.g. different sizes, colors, etc.). You can use this tool to set different shipping prices.
If you would like to, for instance, offer both Standard and Rush shipping, you can create two Shipping variants of your product, and price them separately.
